When administering the Cognitive Assessment Interview (CAI) may the clinician’s own follow-up questions be used?

The initial questions in the Cognitive Assessment Interview (CAI) are obligatory probes. However, clinicians should follow-up with additional questions using the individual’s own words or matching his/her communication style.
